For the record I thought the movie was awesome, but after it's all said and done and the show's over, no one's going to give a shit what I think of the soundtrack. So I thought I'd tell you what everybody else thinks. Then you'll know who Eminem's audience is these days. This is an extract from Amazon.com's reviews of the 8 Mile Soundtrack:

LOSE YOURSELF, WANGSTA, November 3, 2002 Reviewer: A 10-year old music fan I think this is the best soundtrack ever. I like to bob my head when I listen to the songs. I also think they should cut the cursing. So I don't have to do so much ... to find the edited version. But the 8 mile cd is great.

Another HIT!!!, December 17, 2002 Reviewer: szavori (see more about me) from Beverly Hills, MI USA I absolutly love this c.d.! This is one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard, if not the best soundtrack. The best part of this c.d. is that it has Lose Yoursel and Rabbit Run witch is not on The Eminem Show.(his newest c.d. if you did'nt know.) If you are Eminem fan I highly advise to buy this c.d.

Em totally makes this album., December 14, 2002 Reviewer: A music fan from United States I am a big eminem fan, and his songs on this were great. The infamous "lose yourself" was hot with other awesome tracks including 8 mile and rabbit run. I liked d12's rap game. I enjoyed the back to back heat between nas and jay-z. But obice trice, macy gray, and 50 cents messed up the album. Obice sounds like he is having a seizure while he's struggling to spit out the lyrics. 50 cent aren't that bad, there's just nothing really unique about them, their songs are a little boring. And macy gray....! Her weird Time of Your Life is completely out of place on this album of a more gangster vibe. If I wanted to hear Macy Gray and her screechy no-talent voice, I'd buy one of her worthless albums. But the eminem songs are off the hook!!

Slim's Done It Again, November 28, 2002 Reviewer: Mitchell from Australia It's true! Eminem's movie is out and what better way to celerbrate than listen to the soundtrack. He's got the best rappers on one cd!.I'll advise you to see the movie. His lyrics aren't as personal in this. And yes D-12 is in it as well.

8 Mile!!!!, November 16, 2002 Reviewer: Chris (see more about me) from A Hip Hop Lover From Bethesda, M.D. Yo, this is a great cd. Eminem is awesome on all his tracks. Also 50 Cent shines just as brite as Em does, plus obie trice, d12 and every1 else are great. even the 2 r & b songs are good. i also think its really cool that the songs are inspired by the movie. if u luv all hip hop like i do, pick this cd up. Bye!!!!
